Village Health Care has been established to serve our community by providing health care in a setting that emphasizes compassion, quality of care, comfort and security. We, as staff members, work as a team, take pride in our work, and consider it a privilege to serve our community. By accessing resources and encouraging self-improvement amongst all its members, we seek to continually improve our ability to maintain this community at its highest level of quality.
Our History
Established in 1968, Village Health Care has remained an independently owned and operated health care facility for over 40 years. Although many improvements have been made throughout our history, our commitment to the rehabilitation and individualized personal approach to care has not been altered.
The building itself has been remodeled and renovated several times, updating the facility to keep the home-like atmosphere that welcomes each of our residents and family members.
Our ownership and management have remained constant over time. At our 1968 opening, we were owned by a group of ten local doctors and businessmen. In 1982 Village Health Care was purchased by Bohlman, Settlemier and Burke. Burke and Settlemier have since sold their interest and have been replaced by Gary Wart, John Mack and Timothy Hazen.
Today our focus is on serving our community with the best health care available and an atmosphere of comfort and security facilitated by our commitment to team work. We at Village Health Care consider it a privilege to work with each and every one of our residents
